Skins : What & How?

Hi
I am using skins for more realisim in my games.
Maybe your are thinking of doing the same but you don't know something about it.
Then this right place to be.

First of:
Skins are NOT illegal.
So you won't get VAC bannend for using skins.
With skins you can costumize your game to your own needs.

Second:
Other players won't see your skins.
I am happy with that because i don't want to see someone with a skin i don't like.

Third:
Some servers have sv_pure enabled.
That means your skins will not work on that server. You will get back the orignal in that server.
If you want to get it work again in a other server you need to restart your game.

How To Install

For most common downloads you need to place skins in the C:/Program Files/steam/SteamApps/*yourusername*/Day Of Defeat source/DOD/ folder

Read the intructions in the download.


How To download

There are sites where you can download skins for almost every game there is: L4D2 TF2 CS:S DOD and such.

For day Of Defeat

I use Wile E Coyote Visuel Upgrade.
A pack that make your Day Of Defeat better and realistic.

Wile E Coyote"s skins are made for a realistic look.
You can download his complete pack or just everything separate.

I suggest you to use skins.
I think that with skins games are more fun to play.

If it's a zip file and I have something like winRAR or winZIP, do I just extract it to my desktop or something, and what do I do after that?
